Progressive Insurance Service Limited (PISL) is one of the fastest-growing insurance brokerage firms in Ghana. The company was licensed in October 2004 by the National Insurance Commission (NIC) to undertake insurance brokerage and advisory services in Ghana.
We are a major player in the business of Insurance intermediation that is, representing insured (Clients) in their risk management and transfer arrangements with underwriters or Insurers (Insurance Companies).
We offer various classes of insurance products to protect properties, assets, employees, and liabilities at competitive rates. We also provide comprehensive risk management and insurance accounting restructuring services to clients. We aim to liaise with clients, insurance underwriters, and other key stakeholders to optimize their choice to insure.
PISL has gradually and consistently grown a clientele base across all sectors of the Ghanaian economy including Financial Institutions, Automobile Companies, Construction Companies, and Agri-business. OUR CERTIFICATIONS
PISL is duly incorporated as a Limited Liability Company by the Registrar Generals Department in 2003 and subsequently licensed in October 2004 by the National Insurance Commission to operate as an Insurance Brokerage Firm.
The company in its bid to abide by the Insurance Industry rules and regulations ensures the operations of the company conforms to the Insurance Act 2006 (Act 724) and all other relevant rules, regulations, and directives that govern the operations of Insurance Brokers in Ghana. The company has duly met all requirements for the renewal of its operating license since then.

Chief Executive Officer:
Francis Nsiah-Afriyie (MBA; CA (GH); ACIB (UK); ACII (UK))
Francis Nsiah-Afriyie is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner with over fifteen (15) years of experience in the insurance industry working with some of the best insurance companies in Ghana. He has worked with reputable institutions such as Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited, SIC Company Limited, Enterprise Insurance Company Limited among other top insurance institutions. He was a significant factor in the success of the organizations he worked with by serving in key roles such as Chief Finance Officer, Deputy Managing Director, and General Manager among others. Francis holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ghana and is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (UK), and Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana). He brings to the table an unrivaled understanding of insurance techniques and leads our advisory team in managing the accounts of our clients. He serves on the board of several institutions including Universal Merchant Bank, Republic Bank, Export Finance Company Limited, and National Association of Graduate Teachers.
General Manager:
Awo Akua Afriyie-Kyei (BPharm., Advanced Dip. in Insurance)
Awo Akua Afriyie-Kyei is our General Manager in charge of overseeing the day-to-day activities of the company. Before joining PISL, Awo worked with the Centre for Tropical Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, of the University of Ghana Medical School. She has had an exceptional turn in career from a Medical background to an astute Insurance professional with her dedication and commitment to continuous learning and development both in academics and professional practice. Awo has worked with the Underwriting and Claims Unit of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited now (Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited) before joining PISL. She has risen through the ranks from an Insurance Officer to her current role as the General Manager of the company. Awo holds a Bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy and is currently holds an Advanced Diploma Certificate in Insurance from the Ghana Insurance College.
Head, Technical Operations:
Kwaku Adom Frimpong (EMBA, B. A Philosophy & Psychology; Advance Dip. in Insurance)
Kwaku Adom Frimpong is the Head, Technical Operations, in charge of claims and underwriting. He brings to the table several years of experience working with clients to understand their technical insurance needs and handling their claims effectively. He has worked with the company for over ten (10) years and brings exceptional insights into the insurance industry of Ghana to enhance our value in advising clients. Kwaku holds an Executive MBA in Strategic and Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management and a Bachelors’ degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Ghana. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Ghana Insurance College.
Head, Business Development., Sales, and Marketing:
Kelvin Danso Sackey (B.A. Sociology & Political Science)
Kelvin Danso Sackey is in charge of all Business Development, Sales, and Marketing activities of the Company. He has been with the company for over five (5) years and has proven himself an astute member of the team. Before joining PISL, Kelvin worked with the Ministry of Petroleum as a and Diligentia Company Limited. He respectively served in the role of Paralegal and Business Development Manager. Kelvin brings to the table an exceptional understanding of clients' needs together with key technical skills to diagnose clients’ insurance needs. His warmth and knowledge assure clients’ safety and cause them to gravitate towards him for all their insurance solutions. Kelvin holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science.
Senior Office Clerk/Secretary:
Shiella Gyankromah Atala
Shiella is a Senior Stenographer Secretary from Hill Top Business Institute. She provides both clerical and administrative support to all other professionals. She coordinates and implements office procedures and has the responsibility of supervising specific projects and tasks in the company. Shiella possesses the required relevant expertise in organizational management and is also the frontline sales executive for clients who contact us directly at the office premises and other communication channels. Shiella brings her specialist knowledge and expertise to ensure the smooth running of the company.
