Background

Selasie Farms and Groceries (SFG), also doing business as Selasie Foods was established in 1997. SFG is a vibrant
cereal Food Processing and Packaging Company in Accra-Ghana. Our products are nutritious and of high quality; thus
meeting the expectation of our customers. This has earned us a household name of “a reliable friend” in the cereal
food packaging industry in Ghana.

To remain competitive and attractive in the cereal food processing and packaging industry in the world for 20 years and beyond.

Mission

To produce nutritious and high-quality cereal products which will promote good health and earn fair reward for
investors and employees of our company.

Organisational structure

SFG has an Advisory Board of highly qualified individuals with expertise in various professions. An accomplished
Chartered Accountant, a Financial Management Expert, a Chartered Banker, a Business Development Service
Advisor, a Food Technologist and an Agricultural Extension Specialist.

The Proprietress has been an entrepreneur for over 20years and holds a qualification in Home Science. She has
received intensive training in Entrepreneurship, Management, Leadership, Marketing and Administration and
specialized training in Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices organized by the Food and Drugs Authority
and regulatory training in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points.
She has also received several training in Soy Processing and Marketing from the University of Illinois and the
United States Department of Agriculture.

SFG has 10 employees. The management team comprises of the Proprietress, a General Manager of Operations, a
Quality Control expert, an Accountant, and a Sales Executive.
The remaining five employees are factory workers performing processing and packaging duties. The factory is
equipped with a drier, Hammer and Mill, roaster, packaging and sealing machines.
